Pet Cremation Cost in Atlanta (2026): Real Published Prices

What Atlanta-area pet crematories actually charge, from the prices they publish: private, partitioned and communal cremation, aquamation, pickup fees, and what to ask before you choose.

Updated October 28, 2026

Saying goodbye is hard enough without having to guess at costs. Most Atlanta-area pet crematories don’t publish their prices, so to give you real numbers we went through the websites of the pet crematories and aquamation providers we list for metro Atlanta and recorded every price they publish. Here’s what we found, what the different kinds of cremation mean, and a few gentle questions to ask before you choose.

Prices were taken from each provider’s own website on October 26, 2026. They change, and they usually don’t include pickup, urns or after-hours fees, so it’s always worth a quick call to confirm the total.

Published Pet Cremation Prices in Metro Atlanta

Three providers publish a full price list. Prices below are for an individual or private service, where your pet’s ashes are returned to you.

Provider Cat or small dog (about 10 lb) Medium dog (about 50 lb) Large dog (about 90 lb)
Honor My Pet Crematory (Acworth), private cremation $255 $285 $325
Pet Angel Memorial Center (Chamblee), cremation* $268 $293 $345
Heavenly Paws Pet Aquamation (north metro), individual aquamation $249 $289 $309

*Pet Angel’s price table does not say whether it applies to partitioned or private cremation, so ask which service the price covers.

Across these three providers, an individual service for a typical cat or small dog started around $250, a medium dog around $285 to $295, and the largest pet tiers reached $409 to $485 or more.

Communal Cremation

Only one provider we checked publishes communal prices: Heavenly Paws lists communal aquamation from $79 for pets under 2 lb to $279 for pets up to 200 lb (about $109 for a 10 lb cat and $139 for a 50 lb dog). With communal service, ashes are not returned to you. Honor My Pet offers communal cremation with pricing on request.

Extra Fees to Ask About

  • Pickup and transport: Pet Meadow lists $2 per mile from its facility to your home. Pet Love lists home pickup or drop-off from $89.95 each way. Heavenly Paws lists free transport from partner vets, $40 from other vets within 15 miles, and $60 for home visits within 20 miles.
  • After-hours and holidays: Heavenly Paws adds $150 for after-hours or federal holiday service.
  • Viewing and keepsakes: Pet Love lists a viewing at $249.95, an ink paw stamp at $29.95 and a paw print keepsake at $39.95.
  • Urns: often included only as a basic container; decorative urns cost extra.

Private, Partitioned and Communal: What’s the Difference?

  • Private cremation: your pet is cremated alone, and the ashes you receive are only theirs. This is usually the most expensive option.
  • Partitioned (sometimes called individual) cremation: several pets are cremated at the same time but kept apart in the chamber. You get ashes back, but some mixing is possible, so ask how the provider separates pets.
  • Communal (or group) cremation: pets are cremated together and the ashes are not returned. Some providers scatter them in a memorial garden.
  • Aquamation: a water-based process, also called alkaline hydrolysis, used instead of flame. Providers offer it as individual or communal service, and with individual service the remains are returned to you, as with cremation.

Words like “individual” and “private” are not used the same way by every provider. The safest question is simply: “Will my pet be the only animal in the chamber, and will the ashes I get back be only theirs?”

What to Ask Before You Choose

  • Is the cremation done at your own facility, or do you send pets to a partner?
  • Will my pet be alone in the chamber?
  • What is the total price for my pet’s weight, including pickup, urn and any after-hours fee?
  • How do you track my pet through the process?
  • How long until the ashes are returned, and how will I get them?
  • Can I see my pet one last time, or be present for the cremation?
